Article on the auction results from The Times Literary Supplement Thursday, March 7, 1968 laid in. No prices realized. Near VG (Words on cover in pencil and marker). Cottet was the successor to Nicolas Rauch and like the Rauch catalogs this one is rich in manuscripts, incunabula and early books with most of the items from the 16th century or earlier, many of them from the 1951 Wilmerding sale. However, the Times article indicates that Cottet, specialist in modern illustrated books, was a bit out of his depth with this early material. The article gives very useful information on prices realized and price and provenance history for some of the auction's high spots.
