(See Garrison & Morton 2200). Swieten the Founder of the Vienna School of Medicine. His ‘Podagra’ [See G & M 4488] in Volume VI [pp. 212-201]. Volumes 1 - V all Bassani imprinted & dated 1770; Voumes VI & VII have the Jo Baptistae Paquali, Venetiis imprint [dated 1775 & 1778 respectively]. Uncommon edition of this classic work: a 8/99 OCLC search shows only 4 institutional holdings. An overall VG set in the original vellum bindings [Vol 1 has a small 1 cm hole in from cover vellum such that the beard underneath is exposed/Vol 1 lacks rfep/bpt in each volume).
