Traveling to Tondo
N. Y.: Knopf, 1991. Book is in Fine condition except someone wrote on ffep "$35-" also "$1.09" And it looks like there was an inscription and they erased it. Also on the half title page, under the publishers info they took a marking pen and drew a line thru the bottom words. Also on the inside back cover looks like a sticker was ripped off and KR is written in ink. But the rest of this book is excellent. Cover has bumps to the corners. Summary: On his way to his wedding, with his friends as attendants, a civet cat meets with extraordinary and unexpected delays. Cute story. First (possible). Hard Cover. Fine/No Jacket. Illus. by HILLENBRAND, wILL. 10 1/2 x 9 1/2. (more information)

The Red Herring Mystery
Auburn, Maine, U.S.A.: Childs Play Intl Ltd, 1996. Publishers note: A NOTE TO DETECTIVES Dear Assistant Detective, A well planned crime is a masterpiece that only a true artist can solve! A good artist should never paint objects as he thinks he sees them, but as they really are. Likewise, a good detective should never be fooled by how things appear. As an artist, my eyes are trained to observe the minutest detail, enabling me to spot the most obscure clues. Can you do the same? By looking carefully at the notes and pictures in my casebook, can you find all the clues and deduce how the crime has been committed? But beware of Red Herring. Pay heed to this stern warning or you will certainly fail. A 'Red Herring' is a name for a misleading clue. Could that be your first clue? Or is it, in fact, the first Red Herring, planted to send you on a devious false trail? Have fun and try not to be a 'Defective Detective'! Yours puzzlingly, Gregory Sullivan. This is a real cute story with a cast of characters such as Sir Reginald Bannister dressed as a fisherman and Lady Magdella Bannister his wife, dressed as a mermaid!!! CUTE. 1996. Soft Cover. As New/No Jacket. 11 x 11 1/2. (more information)

The House Gobbaleen
New York, New York, U.S.A.: Dutton Childrens Books, 1995. Book and D/J are As New. Publishers note: What is a Gobbaleen? You may wonder. Is it bad? Is it good? Would you want one in your house? Poor Tooley doesn't know- all he knows is that he has no luck. Toley longs for some help from the Friendly Folk, who are said to roam the country only too eager to change the luck of a fellow like him. So when an odd little man with a not-very-nice smile appears on his doorstep one day, Tooley is eager to believe that this man, Hooks, has come to bring him some good luck at last. Despite the warning of his all knowing cat, and despite the little man's strange words-"Once in never out"- Tooley invites Hooks inside and waits for his fortunes to change. But when his far-from-friendly houseguest shows no sign of rewarding Tooleys hospitality- or of ever leaving his home- it seems that Tolleys luck has taken a turn for the worse. It's up to his cunning cat to save the day, by summoning none other than the House Gobbaleen and teaching Tooley something about making his own luck. Cute story and pictures.. First Edition.
