Not reprinted because of the onset of WW One, so relatively scarce. Light brown cloth with a design based on the Prussian eagle in black and bown and white, and on the spine, an iros cross printed in the same colors. This copy is fresh and unfaded, overall very good plus. It has 74 plates (of 75), missing the plate from page 136. Pages x, 227 with index and a folding sketch map. The gilt title on the spine is bright. Top edge gilt is not called for in Inman, reflecting the rising costs of publishing and Black trying to cut a few corners.
