New York: Forest and Stream, 1895. Robinson was an artist and magazine illustrator who became blind at age 60. With his wife's help, he then turned his talents to Vermont stories in a rural vernacular. He lived in Ferrisburg, and his home is believed to have been a station in the underground railway, smuggling slaves to Canada. His stories take place in "Danvis", which is known to be West Lincoln, visited by Robinson in 1843. Nice copy, clean and tight inside and out. He proclaims for 60 pages that Shakespeare was a man of genius, not necessarily a lawyer or butcher. It was a subject of great interest 100 years ago.
