He writes beautifully, and this became the inspiration for his emersion into Japanese culture , for which he remains deservedly famous. Pages (16), 460 including 4 pages of Creole music at the end. A clean, tight copy inside. The binding is very slightly soiled and has a drawing of a Creole woman with basket of flowers on her head on the front cover.
