Mrs Hawkins was a Member of the British Astronomical Association, Editor of the 'Star Sheet Almanac', 'The Revolving Star Map', and 'The Stars from Year to Year'. The top of each page in the guide carries a quote from famous scientists, writers etc. The Appendix includes a list of 'Some Useful Books in the Study of Present-Day Astronomy'. Green cloth boards with white lettering to spine and front board; corners and top/bottom of spine are lightly rubbed. Lettering to spine is partially rubbed off, but lettering to front board is very clear and boards are nice and clean. Contents in lovely condition and overall a Very Good copy. . more information
