One of the bookplates shows this to have been in the collection of famed Danish ornithologist, Finn Salomonsen (1909-1983), author of 19 ornithological volumes. Also shows bookplate of William Todd, well-known aviculturist in the zoo field and former Assistant Curator of Birds at the Houston Zoo (now retired). Signature, dated 1909, is that of Danish zoologist, H.C. Wegge. A handsome copy, with a distinguished provenance, of this renowned and scarce volume. more information
