Yueh is a native of Shanghai; her book The Great Tastes of Cinese Cooking won the R.T. French Tastemarker Award for best oriental cookbook for 1980. This book deserves more attention than it is getting as it an excellent introduction to dim sum dishes such as Spring Rolls, Beef Shao mai, Shao Mai, Char Shui Bao, Har Gow and others using the food processor and other time saving techniques.
