Artists Original Drawing Album Oblong octavo album containing over 90 pages of fine water-colours executed over a 30 year period (1869-1899) The majority of watercolours are identified buildings, manor houses, churches, farms, town halls, hospitals etc. Pen and Ink drawings finished with water-colours stunning perspective. Many of the drawings also show people, carriages, gardens, farmland and most are captioned giving details of the location, architect and owner of the property. There are also two skillful caricatures. Bound in full contemporary maroon morocco, bookseller label to fpd, childs name to verso fep (Anne Gallacher - with 1 drawing by her?). Moon from 20 Threadneedle Street London. Louis Haghe (the Belgian lithographer and friend of Roberts) oversaw and produced all of the lithographs for this series.
