The text covers his mining days in Colorado, Mexico, Nevada, the Comstock and Kingston mines, his oil seeking days in California and later Mexico. Paher Nevada 2152: A bibliography of Canfield, this books contains a chapter on his mining experiences at Ruby Hill and other Nevada sites. Numerous personal letters are quoted from, giving a glimpse of Canfield's optimistic attitude, every in the fact of many difficulties" Includes his financial involvement with E. A history of the earliest settlement is followed by a contemporary overview of Grafton, its businesses, social organizations, and leading citizens. Many illustrations of private residences and public buildings are of particular architectural interest. Uncommon.
