Original illustrated paper over boards, cloth back strip worn. Plates loosely inserted. Ties missing. Barbier’s incredible designs for an opera version of Casanova, pochoir printed by Jacomet in colors heightened with gold and silver. An ephemeral portfolio of which relatively few copies have survived complete and in good condition. A slip numbered “34” is loosely insrted pointing to this being a limited edition of some kind.
