London: John Shuckburgh, 1727. First Edition. Full Leather. Very Good binding. Interesting 18th century book exploring many aspects of husbandry and the management of sizable estates -- from the management of accounts, and the value of manure, to the importance of making sure the mole-hunters do their jobs. With double-page folding plate "A Survey of Dun Boggs Farm in Haversham" as well as a double page plate of hedges.~Nice copy in contemporary panelled calf (the front board has been reattached). On the front pastedown is a sheet "Reports of Logs scaled for Keewatin Lumbering and Manufacturing -- blank form from the1880's; on the front free endpaper is a 19th century newspaper clipping on Replanting Forest Ground. Very Good binding.
