Teaching With Technology With Infotrac
by Priscilla Norton

The distinctive characteristic of TEACHING WITH TECHNOLOGY, Second Edition is its clear correlation between theory and practice. This text focuses on ways to use technology to foster learning in K-12 classrooms, instead of presenting the mechanics of computer operation. Norton and Wiburg's chapters are not based on computer applications; they are based instead on how technology can support student acquisition of literacy, content knowledge, problem-solving, participating in communities, and student utilization of information and systems of assessment.

Abnormal Psychology
by Susan Mineka

Since 1948, this distinguished textbook has been considered the most comprehensive in its field. Building on this strong foundation, the 12th edition introduces new topics, fresh insights, and sharper focus on research in psychopathology. The goal of Abnormal Psychology is, and always has been, to present to students exciting discoveries and the most thorough explanation of psychopathology possible. To keep this momentum going, authors Jim Butcher (University of Minnesota) and Susan Mineka (Northwestern University) welcome Jill Hooley of Harvard University, to the author team. Jill Hooley is an experienced psychopathology researcher and Director of Clinical Psychology at Harvard. Her area of expertise is schizophrenia. The 12th edition has been revised and enhanced in a number of ways, including a separate chapter on Eating Disorders; a separate chapter on Health Problems and Behavior; a new schizophrenia chapter; expanded coverage and explanation of research methodology; expanded coverage of mental retardation; new case studies and feature boxes, and much more. “l;This text is the most thorough abnormal text currently available.” -Michael E. Walker, Ph.D., Stephen F. Austin State University “This is an excellent textbook, written by prominent experts in the field and offering a comprehensive, elegant, well organized, and clear view of abnormal psychology and its complex relationship with modern life. Instructors and students will find this book to be theoretically balanced, clinically insightful, and empirically up-to-date.” -Louis Castonguay, Ph.D., Penn State University “A book that students will read!“ -Jean W. Hunt, Ph.D., Cumberland College “Each time I reread a chapter, I am impressed again with the degree of scholarship presented in this volume.” -Sheri Johnson, Ph.D., University of Miami

3) The Handbook of Private Schools, 2002: An Annual Descriptive Survey of Independent Education."
Porter Sargent Editors

Porter Sargent, 2002. Eighty-Third Edition, Ex-Library. Hardcover. Very good. Red cloth cover with gold print, no dj, clear tape along spine. Library stamps, no marks in text. From Library Journal\nThe first section of this book consists of a very well written discussion of the economic advantages of buying a classic used car, how to judge the worth of such a car, and where to locate one. The second section contains some two dozen updated reprints from Road & Track 's "Used Car Classics" columns, each describing in reasonable detail a related family of cars. While actual prices in different parts of the country will vary considerably from those given, this is still very useful information for a potential buyer. For someone thinking of purchasing a used classic car this book nicely puts together a very good picture of what is available and what to look for. Recommended. Charles M. Falco, Arizona Research Labs., Univ. of Arizona, Tucson\nCopyright 1986 Reed Business Information, Inc. ISBN: 0875581471. (more information)
