by Julie Ferguson

From the publisher

A sequel to "Through a Canadian Periscope" (Dundurn 1995), Deeply Canadian tells the story of how Canada nearly lost her submarine service in the 1990s after decades of dedicated duty.

First line

Excellent though it is, Canada's submarine heritage is virtually unknown to the average Canadian.
