About the author

Ineta Ziemele is the Sderberg Professor of International Law and Human Rights at the Riga Graduate School of Law in Latvia and a Visiting Professor at the Raoul Wallenberg Institute for Human Rights and Humanitarian Law, Lund University, Sweden. The book is a substantially revised and expanded version of a Ph.D. thesis that was defended under the supervision of Professor James Crawford at the Faculty of Law of the University of Cambridge.
