About the author

D.B. Tindall is an Associate Professor in the Department of Forest Resources Management, and in the Department of Sociology at the University of British Columbia, and is affiliated with the Centre for Applied Conservation Research at UBC. Ronald L. Trosper is Head, American Indian Studies, University of Arizona, Tucson, Arizona. Pamela Perreault is a member of Garden River First Nation in Ontario, Canada, and currently works as an independent consultant for First Nation communities and organizations on projects related to natural resource management, community capacity-building and policy reform.
