It's the 70's in Atlanta, GA, racial pressure on both sides, but a young white Atlanta boy, on scholarship, travels to Charlotte, NC and the HBCU, Johnson C. Smith University. His journals tells his inspiring but "real life" stories of campus dorm life, playing football to receive the coveted Mr. Football and All CIAA awards, becoming the first white at "Smith" to cross-over Groove Phi Groove Social Fellowship, Inc., where only the toughest of the tough will endure to earn there Gs. Real life experiences, unsheltered and hard developing into understanding and respect for their differences. An historical account, of becoming the "first" in many diverse arenas, but showing how faith in God, respect and teamwork can overcome the black and white truths of this nation and times which were unbelievable, terrifying, amazing and funny. This is the inspiring true to life story of the lone, "White Golden Bull. A native Atlanta boy, born July 14, 1956 and the only child born to Jean and Ramon Grimsley, Tifton GA, sweethearts. Graduate of Therrell High School and lone "white" football player. Graduate of HBCU, Johnson C. Smith University, Charlotte NC., in the 1970s he pledged Groove Phi Groove, Social Fellowship, INC., received the coveted ALL CIAA Award for football excellence, earned the title Mr. Football and inducted into the Johnson C. Smith Hall of Fame, President Fellowship of Christian Athletes. Graduate of the U.S.ARMY Intelligence School and Top Secret Security Schools. He is a member of the J.C.S.U 100 Club. Once a manager, coach and bodyguard, today he lives with wife Donna on Lake Nottley in Blairsville, GA. He is a Christian, in hopes his story will help to unite people of all origins to know the love of Jesus Christ.
