San Diego, CA: Corinth Suspense Novel #s CR133, CR137, CR141, CR145 & CR148 1st Editions 1966 ----------paperbacks. 5 BOOKS. Offered as the entire series of the Dusty Ayres books as issued by Corinth Regency in 1966, reprinting fantastic stories of a near-future war, first published in the 1930's pulp magazine. Comments on each book follow (my highest rating is near fine, as no used book is perfect). Black Lightning has a 2 inch faint cover crease (actually more of a partial bend, the surface is not cracked), a tiny spot of red on the front cover bottom edge, appears unread, and is near fine. Crimson Doom has small bumps to the spine bottom and one corner, very minor spine edgewear, appears unread, and is near fine. Purple Tornado is close to flawless, appears unread, and is near fine. Telsa Raiders has a tiny crease to the front cover bottom, a tiny corner bump, some edgewear, and is VG+ to near fine. Black Invaders has just a trace of edgewear on the front cover bottom edge, appears…

New York: Universal Publishing & Distributing Corp. Beacon Books / Galaxy Publishing Corporation / Galaxy Science Fiction Novel / Galaxy Prize Selection #s 236, 242, 256, 263, 270, 277, 284, 291, 298, 305 & 312 1st Editions / Printings 1959-1961 ----------11 vintage paperbacks. Galaxy Science Fiction Magazine issued 46 Galaxy Science Fiction Novels as companions to the magazine. The final 11 of the novels (numbers 36 to 46) were issued under the Beacon Books imprint, from 1959 to 1961, and were assigned the same series of book numbers as regular Beacon Books. With 1 gap, the book numbers were 7 digits apart (trivia). It is these 11 BOOKS which are OFFERED HERE AS THE ENTIRE SERIES OF GALAXY NOVELS ISSUED UNDER THE BEACON IMPRINT. Of the 11 books, 4 are First Editions: Pagan Passions (Randall Garrett & Larry M. Harris), Flesh (Philip Jose Farmer), A Woman a Day (Farmer again) and The Male Response (Brian Aldiss). The other 7 books had been previously published, and 4 were given new titles for this series: The Deviates (formerly The Secret People) by Raymond F. Jones, Sex War (formerly The White Widows) by Sam Merwin, The Mating Cry (formerly The House That Stood Still) by A.E. Van Vogt, and Sin in Space (formerly Outpost Mars) by Cyril Judd (Kornbluth & Merril). All of the books were issued with "sexy" cover art, and some racy passages were inserted in the original text, all very mild by today's standards. This run of books was obtained when new by a caring collector, half were read once, very carefully, the other half not read at all. They have been carefully stored and protected for over 50 years, and, but for the minor blemishes to be described below, are close to "as new". Odd John: minor creasing to front cover top and bottom edges, still near fine condition. The Deviates: small bump to front cover top edge, still near fine. Pagan Passions: tiny faint corner crease, still near fine. Flesh: tiny faint corner crease, still near fine. Books not mentioned are close to as new. A nicer collection of these attractive books is difficult to imagine.. Later and/or First Printings. Mass Market Paperback. Near Fine. Illus. by Robert Stanley, Ed Emshwiller & Gerald McConnel (front covers). Note: our prices on Biblio are the LOWEST of any of the sites on which we list our books.

It is an important book, as it is the first Edgar Rice Burroughs title to be published as a paperback. There are at least 3 cover variants of this title, 2 with text only covers, and this one, with an illustrated/pictorial cover by an unknown artist. Zeuschner 570. All 3 variants are rare, with this pictorial cover variant, apparently the rarest of all. In fact, it is one of the rarest of all paperbacks. Slight spine tilt, cover creases, edgewear, 2 small scuffs to the illustrated lion, tiny (1/4 inch) split to spine bottom, a good copy.. .. Mass Market Paperback. Good.
