Bound in leather with gilt lettering and decoration. This isa presentation binding, with the armorial crest of Fettes College, Edinburgh. With Colour Illustrations. Ludovic Halevy, 1834 - 1908, was a French author and playwright. L'Abbe Constantin was one of the key works in opening the doors for Halevyto the French Academy. Condition: The binding is tight and firm. There is only very mild wear to the extremities, with just very mild rubbing and edge wear. Internally the pages have some slight browning with the very occasional spot. With light foxing to the plates. Overall the condition is very good..
