A very nice copy of a scarce book rarely found signed. by M. R. James. (#148064). First edition. Privately printed as a memorial to McBryde and said to have consisted only of 100 copies. A presentation copy with signed inscription at top edge of front free endpaper: "A. N. G. Richards / vi Apr. mdccccxxii / M. R. James." A fantasy story based on a trip to Denmark undertaken by McBryde, M. R. James and W. J. Stone in August 1899 with introduction (signed "M.R.J.") by James. Locke, A Spectrum of Fantasy, p. 145 and A Spectrum of Fantasy Volume II, p. 145.
