The Shore Road Mystery (Hardy Boys)

Dixon, Franklin W

N.Y.: Grosset and Dunlap, 1928 Original red cloth with arrowhead design on boards. First edition, since it lists to itself inside. The covers were very grubby, so I washed them as well as possible. Marked with handwriting and stamp from the historic Centenary Queen Square (Methodist) Sunday School Library on front endpapers. The boys are tooling down Shore Road on their motorcycles when they meet a fisherman who reports that his car was stolen. After getting past an upset hay wagon, the boys find the police questioning their friend and his father about the stolen car which was found in their yard. However, no other stolen cars have been found, Where are they ? Number 6 in the series. The book cover and edges are still somewhat grubby, so priced accordingly. 212 pp.
