This book is in Very Good++ condition and is lacking the scarce dust jacket. The book and its contents are in clean, bright condition. There is some light bumping and rubbing to the spine ends and corners of the book covers. The text pages are clean and bright. This copy includes a postcard with a holograph (autographed) inscription and signature (and address to recipient). This is the author's first book and one of 1500 copies. " "The Weary Blues" takes place at an old Harlem bar on Lenox Avenue. There is a piano player playing the blues. As he plays, the speaker observes his body movement and the tone of his voice. The volume is edge rubbed, with bumped spine ends and corners (boards exposed), and the gilt stamped spine lettering is readable but faded. The volume has penciled notes from another dealer on the front endpaper and is overopened a bit at the title page, else the interior is in very good condition. From the collection of California author and bibliophile, Melba Berry Bennett with her bookplate affixed to the front pastedown. Author's first book.
