Frontis plate signed by John Greenaway and with an original sketch by Kate Greenaway window-mounted before the half-title. 53 color plates with tissue-guards and 90 b/w photos and illustrations. Appears to be the "deluxe edition" with the drawing and signature, though this one is not numbered. Includes the sales slip from A&C Blacks from their London shop w a date stamp "10Nov, 1905." The book is in very good condition. The inside of the book is immaculate- but there is light soiling to the cover boards, and a little wear to the top of the spine.

Octavo hardcover in the original jacket, 9 3/4"x 6 1/4", 211 pp. Black cloth with bright gilt logo on front board, and titles on the spine. An interesting attempt at science fiction from the renowned screenwriter (Front Page, Scarface, Notorious) with striking illustrations. A scarce limited edition that's in excellent condition, in a somewhat worn, faded paper jacket.
