From the publisher

During the final years of his life, Walt Disney was consumed with building an experimental community to help solve urban problems. His team's preliminary planning at the time of his passing in 1966 drew freely from the technology of American industry to house, employ, entertain, and educate residents and millions of visitors. Disney called the concept the "Experimental Prototype Community of Tomorrow," or EPCOT. It was the most ambitious project he would ever undertake.
