The Heaven at the End of Science: An Argument for a New Worldview of Hope Paperback - 2010

by Philip Mereton

From the publisher

Are we nothing but stardust leftover from the Big Bang? Genes competing for survival in a world without morals or purpose? The Heaven at the End of Science offers a new vision of world that joins the logical rigor of science with the hopes and dreams of religion. The world will not die in a fiery heat death; to the contrary, we are slowly rising to the realization that together we dream the world and thus have the power, with united effort, of creating a real heaven on Earth.

About the author

Philip Mereton is a practicing lawyer (George Washington University 1983) with a philosophy degree (Beloit College 1978). The book is the evolution of a college paper started in 1974 in a class entitled, Man in Perspective. The premise of the paper--and of the book--is that there should be one idea that unites the fields of science, religion, and philosophy, and will break down the barriers separating us. The author spent the last thirty-five years studying the books that are the foundation of our current worldview and constructing a series of arguments in support of this simple idea.
