Barely noticaible. An account with numerous photos of life in Madrid, New Mexico, before it became a ghost town. In its mining days Madrid (pronouned as in MAD) had a certain beauty about it and location had something to do with it, nestled there in the narrow valley, six thousand feet above sea level, protected by the surrounding, wooded mountains. But it was not all peace, order, security and beauty.
