Description:
Newwark, VT: The Janus Press, 2008. First edition. Softcover. Fine. Limited edition, one of 200 copies finely printed letterpress on Finale, the final paper made at the Hayle Mill, this being number 110. The book is bound longstitch through a vellum spine with covers of Barcham Green Nefertiti. In the publisher's clamshell case along with the folding map of the Loose Valley as it was in 1856 with its paper mills, a portfolio of 19 vintage photographs showing the mill and various papermaking operations, and a final portfolio of 12 papers made at the mill. A fine exemplar. Actually from the collection of Mel Kavin, but you will have to take our word for that as he did not mark it in any way.
