by John Habberton

From the publisher

1908. Also a partial record of their actions during ten days of their existence. Illustrated. The title page attributes authorship to Their Latest Victim. The book tells the tale of a bachelor, Harry Burton, who is persuaded by his sister to take care of his two small nephews while she and her husband go on holiday. Harry discovers first hand what small children are really like. The book is a wonderful portrait of how unrelentingly persistent small children can be in attaining what they want. He also finds out that their most embarrassing behaviors occur when the young lady he admires is passing by. A delightful read for both children and knowing parents.
