Milfoil ecology, control and implications for drinking water supplies. Paperback - 2008

by Wagner, K.J. et al.

From the publisher

This report describes the Milfoil Scoping Project, a project designed to aid drinking water managers in detecting, mitigating, and controlling the potential impact of invasive water milfoil on their reservoirs. The review of the current literature and experiences presented in the report provides managers with practical knowledge regarding Myriophyllum species, including taxonomy, distribution, ecology, and current methods of control. The results of a survey of drinking water suppliers and reservoirs are interpreted, and case studies of milfoil management are described. Color photos and maps are included, along with the survey questionnaire and a glossary. The report lacks a subject index.
