Paris: Paris Match, 1960. Collection of five vintage borderless photographs of actress Anna Karina and her director and then-husband Jean-Luc Godard. Printed on paper marked with the logo of Paris Match magazine on the verso, along with the stamp of photographer Giancarlo Botti. From the archive of the PIX Agency, a photo house that acted as an intermediary between emigre photographers (as well as those still living in Europe) and the American magazine and newspaper market between 1935-1969.

Karina and Godard married in 1961, after working together on "Le Petit Soldat," and were considered one of the more iconic and celebrated couples of the 1960s, with Karina appearing in eight of the director's films, including "Bande a part" (1964), "Pierrot le Fou" (1965), and "Alphaville" (1965). Despite their success and impact on French cinema, their personal life together was turbulent and ultimately short-lived, and the couple divorced in 1965.

Four approximately 8 x 7 inches, one 6.5 x 9.5 inches, and one 7.5 x 10.25 inches. Very Good plus, two with lightly faded portions.
