About This Item

N.p.: N.p., 1971. Vintage borderless black and white photograph of director Jean Becker behind the camera on the set of the 1971 short film. With a printed mimeo snipe affixed to the verso, along with the stamps of Interfoto MTI and PIX agency. From the archive of the PIX Agency, a photo house that acted as an intermediary between emigre photographers (as well as those still living in Europe) and the American magazine and newspaper market between 1935-1969.

A short educational television film for the "Shaping of the Western World" series, reenacting the events of July 14, 1789, the day a group of French revolutionaries stormed the Bastille in response to decades of political abuse and the monarchy's neglect.

Set in France.

7 x 9 inches. Very Good plus, with light creasing to the bottom left corner.
