With a stamp for Cinemonde Archives and holograph pencil annotations regarding layout to the verso.

The set of the "New Hiroshima Hotel," a key element in the film's narrative, was created using the Hiroshima Peace Memorial Park's International Conference Center. Director Alain Resnais' meditation on memory, history, and forgetfulness proved to be a major catalyst for the Rive Gauche movement, earning Resnais a Palme d'Or nomination and screenwriter Marguerite Duras an Academy Award nomination.

Set in Hiroshima, shot on location in Hiroshima, Japan and Nievre, France.

Two photographs with the stamp of the Lérida Ministry of Information of Spain on the verso, and all five with annotations in manuscript ink regarding cropping and identifying the film. Two photographs with titles tipped on the recto, one crediting director Alain Resnais. Resnais' meditation on memory, history, and forgetfulness proved to be a major catalyst for the Rive Gauche movement, earning Resnais a Palme d'Or nomination and screenwriter Marguerite Duras an Academy Award nomination. Set in Hiroshima, shot on location in Hiroshima, Japan and Nievre, France. 12 x 9.5 inches. Poor, with moderate wear and pinholes at the corners, and light creasing overall.

Neuilly-sur-Seine, France: Argos Films, 1959. Collection of eight vintage, borderless reference photographs from the 1959 film. Four photographs with the stamp of production company Argos Films, seven with a sticker noting they are from the collection of film historian, collector, and founder of the Tele Cine Documentation (TCD) cinema photo library Daniel Bouteiller, one with both a sticker and stamp from the collection of film historian Maurice Bessy, and all with manuscript annotations on the versos. A series of conversations about memory, history, and forgetfulness between a departing French actress and the married Japanese architect with whom she had a brief affair, the film was a major catalyst for the Rive Gauche film movement. Screenwriter Marguerite Duras was nominated for an Academy Award, and Alain Resnais received a Palme d'Or nomination at Cannes. 7 x 5 inches. Generally Near Fine. Criterion Collection 196.
