Paris: Paris Internationale, 1966. Vintage borderless photograph from the 1966 premiere of François Truffaut's film "Fahrenheit 451" at the Theatre Marigny. With a printed mimeo snipe affixed to the verso, along with the stamp of Paris Internationale. From the archive of the PIX Agency, a photo house that acted as an intermediary between emigre photographers (as well as those still living in Europe) and the American magazine and newspaper market between 1935-1969.
Truffaut's fifth film, based on the 1953 novel written by Ray Bradbury, which is set in a dystopian future in which all books are burned and free through is discouraged.
