Based on John le Carre's 1963 novel, the first ever adaptation of his works. A British agent refuses to leave his duties during the Cold War, taking on another mission-one that may prove to be his last. Nominated for two Academy Awards including Best Actor for Burton.

Set in Berlin, shot on location in the Netherlands, England, and Ireland.
