Bootlegger Remy Marco (Edward G. Robinson) goes legit at the repeal of prohibition and becomes a brewer. Unfortunately he's going broke because his beer is terrible and everyone's afraid to tell him.

Remade in 1952 as "Stop, You're Killing Me," directed by Roy Del Ruth and starring Broderick Crawford and Claire Trevor.
