A lovely copy in VG condition/no DJ! The HB is clean and tight with a minor repair at the top back spine facing the letter from S& S about the first edition publication of 75,000 copies. The deep green boards have very minor bumps at the corners and spine ends. There is still gilt on the deer imprint with black lettering on the spine end. A very collectible true first! **BONUS** Also receive the 1948 Julian Messner FIRST EDITION review copy with review slip laid in of Salten's Favorite Animal Stories which is in NF/Fair condition. **Brenbooks specializes in first edition books made into films.
