Congratulations, Charity Bookstall!

The 2010 Don Dario Scholarship winner has been awarded!

This year’s winner of the annual Don Dario Scholarship is Charity Bookstall, the Biblio storefront for the Morin Foundation, Inc., a 501(c)(3) charitable organization.

Their work in supporting literacy efforts qualified them to receive:

  • Full cost of tuition for the five day annual Colorado Antiquarian Book Seminar
  • A donation of $500 to the literacy charity of the recipient’s choice in their name.
  • One year of free listing fees in Billing Option B on Biblio.com.

Sadly, Charity Bookstall wasn’t able to take advantage of the tuition for the Colorado Antiquarian Book Seminar due to staffing commitments, but they did earn a charitable contribution for the Morin Foundation, Inc. and Bibilo’s 7.5% commission plan with no monthly fees for one year!

Charity Bookstall describes their efforts this way:

“We are also known as Project Library, the name of our primary program which supports both adult and child literacy initiatives. Nationwide, Project Library focuses on expanding the holdings of public libraries and public school libraries in the poorest communities. In Greater Boston, its Library Development Program helps create informal libraries and fill their shelves. Our focus is building and strengthening libraries that cater to underserved readers.

Biblio.com offers an annual scholarship to the Colorado Antiquarian Book Seminar. The Don Dario Honorary Scholarship is offered in keeping with Biblio’s stated commitment to Environment, Independence and Community.
