No, we are still an independent business, and we are not affiliated with Amazon.
Biblio’s goal of allowing independent booksellers to sell their books online with ease and autonomy has not changed.
However, one of the side effects of that freedom is that some Biblio sellers may also list their books on other venues, including Amazon and the Amazon-owned ABEbooks. Some sellers may also use “Fulfillment by Amazon” as a way to cut their delivery costs. This means that the sellers send their physical book inventories to Amazon and when they receive an order, the shipment is then handled by the Amazon warehouse. That is most likely what happened with your order.
I can attest that most of our sellers do not use those methods, but I cannot promise that you won’t see this happen again! Remember, though – the independent seller is still the one who gets your business whether through Biblio or through another marketplace, and that’s what we really care about.

Why did you change the format for buying books from your company. I have purchased books from Biblio for many years and never had any problems. Now, I just can’t figure out how to use your new system. I really want to buy some more books now and am a loss of how to do it. Why did you make this so complicated? Please put the old system for buying books on here again. Please help me. I am a senior citizen and really need help. Thank you.
Sorry for the confusion, Barbara! It does look different but I promise that it works just the same. Just make a search on the home page of Biblio, click “Add to cart” for the book that you want, and then go through checkout step by step!
