Biblio is a proud sponsor of the 36th annual Florida Antiquarian Book Fair!
“For Book Lovers, it’s Paradise.”
The St. Petersburg Historic Coliseum hosts the oldest and largest antiquarian book fair in the southeastern United States. Every year, thousands of excited book collectors and bibliophiles get the chance to browse the booths of over 100 professional booksellers and dealers who offer their used books, rare books, maps, ephemera, and other fantastic finds for sale.
Last year was my first time at the Florida fair, and I had a wonderful time. It was a pleasure finally getting a chance to meet the booksellers that I usually only get to know through email or phone calls. Making personal connections with booksellers is important to Biblio, and is great having an opportunity to chat about the state of the book world and hear their questions or concerns.
Then there’s the books – getting a chance to see the breathtaking rare and collectible books in person is a treat. As a new book collector, attending a book fair was a great way to get educated and motivated about the world of rare books.
