The Colorado Antiquarian Book Seminar (CABS) is a full week of intensive, hands-on instruction, tailored to the needs of booksellers, collectors, and librarians.
If you are interested in attending, act fast! Registrations for 2022 are just about full, but there are still scholarship opportunities available. Biblio is offering a scholarship for this year’s attendance of this one-of-a-kind immersive experience into the world of rare books.
Biblio CABS 2022 Scholarship Requirements
The Biblio scholarship is intended for specialist booksellers or book collectors.
This year’s scholarship recipient will receive:
- Full tuition (worth US $1500)
- $250 credit toward accommodations at the facilities provided by the seminar
- $250 donation to a non-profit of their choice that promotes literacy and/or education
Applicants should provide:
1. An essay introducing a lay collector to the applicant’s chosen field of expertise (around 500 words is ideal). Biblio may, at its discretion, publish your article on its websites and will provide you with full credit and links to your business, where applicable.
2. A brief description of the charity you would choose to receive the donation and why you chose them (no more than one single-spaced page).
The deadline for all application materials is May 2, 2022. Please send all applications to scholarship@biblio.com.
A drawing will be held among qualified entrants to find the winner.
The scholarship winner will be notified within 7 days of the application deadline.
