The back cover of the book states, in part, David taught instrumental and general music in Orfordville, Wisconsin, retiring in 1912. In addition to teaching and performing, David wrote and arranged thousands of musical pieces for all instrumental areas ranging from elementary band to college and professional-level recorder. David passed away on December 13th, 2015. This series of his recorder pieces is just a small piece of the talent he possessed. " .
