Retired small town library copy with little use. Book Condition: Very Good; library stamps on front endpapers, title page, textblock edges, and last two pages; donation bookplate on FFFP. DJ: Very Good +; NOT Price Clipped; superficial scratches and bumps to panels. Red boards with black overlay on spine with bright gilt lettering on the spine. 198 pp 8vo. In 1970 with the movement of US troops into Cambodia, Kent State University was alive with student protesters. With students on one side and armed National Guardsmen on the other the face off turned deadly with 4 students killed and 9 wounded. Caputo looks back on that day and discusses his feelings, nature of political discourse, civil disobedience, and what happened to those who were there. A clean very presentable copy with little library use.
