1838. Original document. Very Good. One page, folio, tightly written in sepia ink. Rothwell agrees to sell to Chapman a "Mesurage of ground on Water Street in the Town of Greenfield, Washington County, "containing twenty-two feet and one half, in front, by one Hundred feet back, together with all & singular appurtainances theirunto [sic] belonging, for the sum of Two Hundred Dollars...." Details the first and subsequent payments. Agreed further, "that the said Rothwell will take of the said Chapman, Cooper-work, well made, at his prevailing prices...," &c., &c. Signed by Isaac G. Rothwell and James Chapman, attested to by John B. Rothwell. Docketed on verso. Dated 20 November 1838. 12.25" x 7.5"

1845. Original document. Good. Broadside, 17.75" x 22.5", partly printed, accomplished by hand. Provides that George W. Smith and his wife, Catherine H. Smith, sold to Isaac G. Rothwell a parcel in Cranberry Township, Butler County, adjacent to the lands of George Carroll, bounded by a white oak, a Quaking Ash, and a Black Jack, for the sum of $425, &c., &c. Dated 7 October 1845. Signed by both Carrolls and by Rothwell, and notarized by Oren Baldwin. Light staining; archival repairs to several folds on verso.
