[Towson, MD]: SDS, 1972. Handbill. 8.5x14 inch handbill mimeographed both sides, horizontal fold, otherwise very good. Although we know that this leaflet came from the Towson State College campus SDS chapter (at this time the Progressive Labor incarnation of SDS), there is nothing specific to the school in the text, which serves as a general introduction to the organization.

Issue published by the Progressive Labor (PL) aligned faction of SDS after the '69 SDS convention split. Contents include announcement of support & march for GE strikers, articles on sit-in at Yale, other support for campus worker strikes - such as one at Wayne State. Flyers about the GE Strike support march (after the fact), about a SDS sit-in at UCLA and "Students fight Harvard's racism

Newspaper. 16p.+ 8p. page folded tabloid, paper toned with some fraying at edges, 2-inch closed split at quarterfold edge, a few dog-ears, folded somewhat askew, a reading copy. Issue published by the Progressive Labor (PL) aligned SDS after the '69 SDS split. Includes 8-page issue within the 16-page issue to be pulled out and used to promote SDS to non-members and to encourage students to join the Work-In to help boost communism with the working class. Besides coverage of the myriad efforts to "Fight Racism" and of the national student strike over the Cambodia invasion, there is an evaluation of SDS in the form of a report on the recent meeting of the National Interim Committee.

Expanded version (from 22p.) with text of letter to the Daily Cal from professors opposing Jensen. The PLP SDS. From text on cover verso: "The Jensen report, says one high government official, 'has kicked up a lot more private reaction than you'd think. It's not something that anybody does talk about. It's secret knowledge in Washington, something everybody knows and doesn't say. In the bureaucracy, when they see these compensatory programs not working, they just look at each other..
