Bright yellow coloured endpapers. The text is illustrated with two inserts of black-and-white photographs, of eight pages each, between page 212 and 213 and pages 372 and 373. Light blue coloured cloth covered boards with gilt embossed author's initials to the front panel and gilt titles to the backstrip. Black-and-white photographic dustwrapper with blue and purple coloured titles to the front panel and backstrip. The autobiography of one of Israel's most senior politicians, who was at the creation of Israel and on through the years following. Signed by the author on the free front endpaper. A little rubbing to the book corners and backstrip edges. The front board is bowed. Rubbing and some bumping to the dustwrapper edges and rubbing to the dustwrapper panels. this is the first USA edition. Size: 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall. XII, 628 pages,.
