Sm. quarto. 279pp. 69 plates, four in color including one with die-cut overleaf revealing form of copperhead snake in dead leaves, painted by Thayer and Rockwell Kent. INSCRIBED BY WHITE, for Mrs Hilda Finberg (of Cotswold Gallery) in 1955. Heavy blue cloth stamped in gold has a little rubbing to spine. Light foxing to fore-edge. Light musty odor.
