New York: Harcourt Brace, 1926. First edition. Cloth. Near Fine. 8vo, 480 pp., 482 pp., illustrated. Both volumes' spines faded, lightly dustsoiled, and lightly pulled at head and heel; page edges tanned, mild discoloration to endpapers. In original slipcase, which stained, faded, worn, bumped at one edge, with seams split and tape-repaired, a few chips.
Synopsis
The story of Lincoln's life from his inauguration in 1861 to his death and funeral in 1865. Awarded the Pulitzer Prize in History, 1940.
