Blue cloth hardcover with gilt title block on the front cover. Light toning to the end papers. A stain upper edge of the front end sheets from a former gem clip. Rear end sheets toned and or stained from contact with a gem clipped news article. A 1927 "Program of the Unveiling of the Statute of Alexander Hamilton Stephens of Georgia" is laid inside this book. There is a loose portrait of Stephens inside the edge worn program and does not appear to come from this book. A business card of "G. M. Strader - Sales Department, Georgia Power Company, Atlanta, Ga" also laid inside the book. The card has Atlanta crossed out in pencil with Greenville, SC written above Atlanta. This copy was inscribed by Senator William J. Harris of Georgia to Mrs. Frank Mason. Mason was the sister of Venable brothers and lived off Ponce De Leon Ave in Atlanta. The Venable family donated Stone Mountain to the State of Georgia for purposes of carving a Confederate Memorial statue.
