This is a play based on the story of the Accrington Pals, a 700-strong local battalion from Accrington, Lancashire which marched off to the First World War and was decimated at the battle of the Somme in 1916. This gives the background of events in Accrington concentrating on the wives, lovers and daughters who were left behind. In original pictorial card covers which have a small dealer sticker at bottom corner of rear cover. Very Good+. REDUCED POSTAGE ON THIS ITEM.
